About this project

This website features an innovative and cross-cultural look at Terrorism by students attending the Salzburg Academy Program on Media & Global Change at Schloss Leopoldskron, in Salzburg, Austria in the summer of 2007. The participating students come from five continents and the following universities: American University in Sharjah (UAE), Bournemouth University (UK), George Washington University (USA), Pontificia Universidad Catolica (Argentina), Pontificia Universidad Catolica (Chile), Quaid-i-Azam Univeristy (Pakistan), Stellenbosch University (South Africa), Tsinghua University (China), Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico), University of Maryland (USA), Zayed University (UAE). The website was designed by Matt Sheehan, Director of Public Affairs and Assistant to the Dean of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. The Salzburg Global Seminar and ICMPA at the University of Maryland are the co-hosts of the Academy.

University of Maryland ICMPA is a center of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism and the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland.
